Cancer as a metabolic disease according to Thomas Seyfried

There is a professor out of Boston University who has studied the idea of cancer being a metabolic disease extensively and I'd like to share his work. When I was in college I heard one of my guests at the country club I was bartending at mention that cancer cells love sugar and for quite some time I wondered why that was the case. However. thanks to Thomas Seyfried now it makes sense.

What Thomas Seyfried has found out is that cancer is the byproduct of a hypoxic environment full of glucose and glutamine that enables cells to full themself via fermentation and some forms of cancer can be treated with a ketogenic diet. Furthermore, Thomas Seyfried is a huge advocate of the idea that a ketogenic diet is an effective way to kill and treat cancer. Think about it, in a ketogenic diet you are eliminating sugars and carbohydrates and if you eliminate sugar and carbs you eliminate the ability for glucose to be used as fuel source for anything. In other words you are starving cancer cells of their full. Lastly, Thomas Seyfried has referenced plenty of adopters of this idea who have either completely eliminated their cancer completely or tamed the symptoms and added years to their lifespan and healthspan.
